The new Thorogood CROSSTREX SD protective footwear is designed to reduce the accumulation of excess static electricity by conducting body charge to the ground while maintaining a sufficient high level of resistance that protects the wearer from electrical hazards due to live electrical circuits. Along with providing superior protection from static electricity, these shoes have a breathable leather/ mesh upper, an EVA midsole for added cushion reducing fatigue and impact on your joints while walking on hard surfaces. All on an aggressive outsole giving you exceptional traction on any surface.
We’ve also added abrasion protection on the heel and toe to increase the longevity of the shoe, and the composite safety toe will keep your toes safe

- SD footwear will provide for a resistance of between 10 to the 6th power ohms (1megohm) and 10 to the 8th power (100 megohms) resistance when 50 volts are applied via an electrode to the hand of a person wearing the SD test samples on a conductive ground plate.
